The Merchandising Specialist at Careem Groceries in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing the in-app storefront experience across Careem Groceries while delivering a seamless, compelling, and conversion-driven customer journey. The role involves managing the in-app storefront including homepage, category landing pages, and promotional carousels, executing merchandising campaigns using internal merchandising tools, and ensuring accurate and timely deployment of campaigns aligned with business goals, seasonality, and customer insights in the Saudi market. The position requires supporting setup and troubleshooting of merchandising configurations, applying basic coding knowledge where necessary, and coordinating cross-functional teams including Category Management, Growth, Marketing, Catalog, and Design teams to deliver successful product launches and campaigns. The role involves analyzing user behavior, product performance, and merchandising metrics, using analytics to improve product discovery, engagement, and conversion rates, tracking campaign performance, and iterating based on insights. Responsibilities include managing content synchronization across in-app experiences, ensuring timely and accurate setup of product launches and feature updates, monitoring merchandising tools, flagging operational inefficiencies, supporting SOP development and documentation for merchandising operations, and leveraging customer feedback and market insights to identify merchandising opportunities. The role also requires experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace operations, familiarity with QA processes, project management skills, and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and operational excellence.

- Manage the in-app storefront including homepage, category landing pages, and promotional carousels while ensuring seamless and conversion-driven user experience across Careem Groceries platforms
- Configure and execute merchandising campaigns using internal merchandising tools, ensure accurate deployment, manage promotional calendar, and align campaigns with business goals and seasonality
- Analyze user behavior, product performance, and merchandising metrics using analytics tools to improve product discovery, engagement, and conversion rates across key app surfaces
- Collaborate with Category Management, Growth, Marketing, Catalog, and Design teams to coordinate campaigns, product launches, and content updates
- Manage configuration and synchronization of in-app content ensuring consistency across application experiences and timely deployment of updates
- Track campaign performance, identify operational inefficiencies, monitor merchandising tools, and implement process improvements
- Support development of SOPs and documentation for merchandising operations, governance, and campaign execution
- Manage multiple initiatives including campaign launches, merchandising updates, and feature releases while maintaining quality assurance standards
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate background in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace operations with experience in merchandising execution and campaign management
- Show familiarity with basic coding concepts to support merchandising configuration and troubleshooting activities
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities including interpreting user behavior data, performance metrics, and conversion optimization insights
- Exhibit experience managing merchandising campaigns, promotional calendars, and product launches in digital environments
- Show familiarity with quality assurance processes and content governance for merchandising and product operations
- Demonstrate project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously
