Job description
The Group Senior Manager – Business Audit at DP World is responsible for independently leading and managing high-quality audits of varying complexity across all global business units, either on-site or remotely. The role reports to the Group SVP – Business Audit and oversees an allocated audit portfolio, contributing to annual and continuous risk assessments in areas such as governance, operations, compliance, and regulatory risk. Responsibilities include planning and executing internal audits, developing the audit universe, managing audit timelines, stakeholder engagement, and special consulting projects related to risk, governance, and process improvements. The position supports transformation initiatives like agile auditing, continuous auditing through data analytics, and department-wide enhancements involving systems such as ARGUS. The role also entails developing internal audit methodologies, leading diverse audit teams, advising management on best practices, and representing DP World professionally and ethically. Proficiency in auditing standards (IPPF, COSO), data tools (Power BI, QlikView), and fluency in English is essential. International travel up to 50% may be required.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver audits of high complexity across cross-functional teams on-site or remotely
- Manage a defined audit portfolio and support bi-annual and ongoing risk assessments
- Act as main contact for business stakeholders and provide advisory support
- Lead and report on governance, risk, compliance, and business improvement consulting projects
- Develop and update audit universe and annual audit timetable
- Maintain continuous risk assessment and adjust audit planning accordingly
- Deliver accurate audit reporting and recommendations for constructive change
- Develop, implement, and update audit policies and quality assurance procedures
- Apply risk and control knowledge to audit scenarios to identify significant issues
- Coordinate with stakeholders during audit planning and reporting stages
- Follow up on audit issues and ensure timely resolution
- Administer audits via Audit Management System to ensure timelines are met
- Lead or participate in GIA improvement projects such as GAP, FIA, ARGUS, COE, and APRL
- Populate and manage internal intelligence tools like ARGUS
- Contribute to GIA website and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Continually improve audit techniques, methodology, and relevance to business needs
- Provide control practice advice during audits and on an ad hoc basis
- Promote understanding of Group Policies and RICS at audit sites
- Supervise and mentor audit team members during audits
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback for development
- Act as a DP World ambassador and uphold safety and ethics standards
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree and a professional financial qualification (ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Possess CIA certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Have 7–10 years post-qualification audit-related experience, including 3–5 years in Internal Audit management
- Demonstrate understanding of Corporate Governance, Risk, and Controls
- Have cross-functional knowledge and familiarity with regulatory and legal frameworks
- Show experience in applying data analytics in audit work
- Have prior experience in logistics and/or maritime industry (preferred)
- Bring experience from Big 4 or large multinational internal audit environments (preferred)
- Demonstrate expert application of IPPF International Auditing Standards and COSO framework
- Display strong analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills
- Have proven ability to manage multiple projects and diverse team styles
- Be fluent in English; additional languages like Arabic, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Hindi are a plus
- Possess strong proficiency in MS Office and data analytics tools like Power BI and QlikView
- Be flexible to travel internationally up to 50% of the time
