Job description

The role resides within EY’s IFRS Professional Practice in the Assurance service line, supporting technical consultation and guidance across MENA. Responsibilities include providing IFRS technical support on complex accounting and financial reporting matters to engagement teams and partners, assisting with research and resolution of IFRS questions, and developing thought leadership for both external audiences and internal guidance documents. The position requires preparing updates to research materials, learning resources, and accounting tools, contributing to thought leadership regarding new and emerging accounting issues including standard-setter projects and industry-specific content, liaising with EY Global and EMEIA Professional Practice teams, delivering IFRS training as needed, and developing comment letters to the IASB. It also includes supporting corporate treasury and financial accounting advisory engagements. The role requires strong technical IFRS knowledge, the ability to research accounting and auditing inquiries, analyze emerging issues, communicate technical matters clearly, and manage competing priorities within a professional environment. Candidates must have Big 4 external audit experience, professional accounting certification, strong managerial and organizational capabilities, and dedication to teamwork, leadership, and integrity.
