Key responsibilities

• Evaluate Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Operator Information Telex, Technical Follow-Ups, and other technical documentation; issue Engineering Orders, Special Work Cards, Component Modification Advice, or Technical Notices as required
• Assess technical and commercial proposals, retrofit modification orders, and corporate Engineering Change Requests to determine applicability and implement actions accordingly
• Analyze reliability reports to identify components or systems exceeding alert thresholds and propose corrective measures, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and manufacturers
• Initiate and manage inspection campaigns, modifications, and ensure their timely execution in alignment with regulatory and operational requirements
• Recommend amendments to Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) under Airworthiness Authority guidelines and Qatar Airways specific standards
• Lead specific technical projects, act as a focal point, and supervise a team of Engineering Development Engineers providing guidance, instruction, and quality checks of technical work
• Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal departments on technical issues and project progress
• Prepare product specifications and support commercial departments with RFI, RFP, and purchase agreements for new components and systems
• Review technical specifications, data, and drawings for accuracy prior to implementation and ensure compliance with Qatar Airways and regulatory requirements
• Lead and manage engineering change initiatives, retrofits, and aircraft system upgrades in alignment with company standards and fleet requirements
