Job description
This Audit Engagement Manager role sits within Omantel's Internal Audit Centre of Excellence, reporting up through the CAE Office toward the Chairman of the Board. Quality and performance management for Internal Audit fall squarely under this position, executed through the Quality Assurance & Improvement Program and measured against IPPF and Global Internal Audit Standards. You assist the Senior Manager of IA CoE in developing the QAIP, building out the quality assessment methodology, models, and tools the function relies on. Compliance gets promoted across IPPF, local regulations, and internal audit methodology, with ongoing quality assessments run at both the unit and individual engagement level. Periodic quality reviews and external quality assessments both fall within scope, alongside identifying improvement opportunities that push audit quality forward. KPIs and performance metrics for the Internal Audit Unit get defined and tracked, with audit delivery measured against strategy, plans, timelines, and quality benchmarks. Performance evaluation processes run in coordination with the SM IA CoE, feeding insights back on productivity, utilization, and capability development. Custodianship of the IA manual sits with you, keeping Internal Audit Unit activities aligned with regulatory and Global IA standards while methodologies, frameworks, and processes get reviewed and updated. Audit approaches, templates, tools, and reporting formats get standardized across the function, benchmarked against leading industry standards and peers, with knowledge sharing keeping best practices moving across the team.
