Job description
Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles at OQ Exploration and Production all run on a performance-reporting framework, and this Expert in Muscat designs, governs and improves it. Reporting to the Manager, Performance & Reporting, you act as the technical authority on enterprise performance management and KPI governance. Corporate KPI architecture sits with you, from definitions and calculation logic to weightings, thresholds, scoring rules and change control. Actual results are tested against budget, forecast, latest estimate and prior periods, and variance explanations get independent challenge before they reach leadership. Executive Leadership Team reports, Board committee materials and dashboards are prepared under your lead, and agreed actions are tracked to closure. Finance readiness also falls here, covering data availability, cut-off timing, reconciliations, reporting hierarchies, master data and audit support. Reporting is moving towards automation through SAP, BI tools and data analytics, with Sr. Specialists and Specialists coached along the way to support Omanization. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business and 8+ years in performance reporting, FP&A or management accounting, ideally in oil and gas or energy, with a postgraduate degree preferred and CMA, CPA or ACCA an advantage.
