Job description

Work standards and procedures set the frame for every commissioning task assigned to this Senior Commissioning Engineer role in Abu Dhabi, within the Electrical Systems discipline for oil and gas projects. You provide detailed testing reports and relevant documentation on every completed task, organizing and performing discipline activities, SAT and functional testing as applicable. PPE, PTW and HSE requirements get followed closely at every worksite, with project documentation received and the scope of work for the relevant discipline understood before work begins. Test equipment gets identified for each testing task, checked for safe operating condition before use, and a team gets led through commissioning activities across projects. Interfacing with other disciplines keeps activities integrated, and functional and operational tests run across various process systems. You prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required, reporting on work progress and flagging potential problems or delays along with recommended solutions. Database preparation for the pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database for Electrical Systems gets supported, alongside planning and monitoring vendor activities as required. Temporary supplies and commissioning spares stay adequate for subsystem testing, and inter-discipline checks get performed in line with HSE standards throughout.
