Job description
This organization operates on a cost-recovery basis, delivering technology-neutral services and solutions across technology, digital services, industry standards, and supply-chain sectors, which makes disciplined financial monitoring and service-revenue accounting especially important, and that discipline is exactly what this Senior Accountant role provides. You will manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations. Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes get led directly, with management accounts, financial statements, and MIS reports prepared along the way. Revenue generated from memberships, services, subscriptions, licenses, and other business activities gets monitored closely, with accurate revenue recognition, timely invoicing, and receivables collection all part of the job. Supplier invoices, payment requests, and vendor reconciliations get reviewed and managed, keeping accounts payable accurate and payments on schedule. Annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis get supported and prepared, feeding financial insights into operational and strategic decisions. UAE VAT and statutory compliance runs through the role, from VAT workings and filings to supporting external tax advisors and auditors. External and internal audits get coordinated annually, with audit schedules and supporting documentation prepared and control weaknesses flagged wherever they surface. Cash flow and treasury activities get monitored, alongside process improvements to ERP systems, reconciliation procedures, and month-end closing. Management and teams across operations, technology, sales, customer service, and administration all rely on this role for financial guidance and accurate, timely information.
