Job description
When the General Manager is off property, this Duty Manager role is the one holding hotel operations together at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah. Front desk, staffing, room inventory, guest service and policy compliance all fall under daily oversight, keeping the property running the way it should. You'll bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to every guest interaction, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently when something goes wrong. Stepping into operational roles happens when needed too, whether that means covering bell service or the front desk during breaks or high volume periods. Regular walkthroughs assess safety, security and service quality across the property, with issues addressed on the spot rather than left for later. Team knowledge stays current through regular updates and training on hotel offerings, services and local attractions. Guest satisfaction metrics such as SALT and Revinate get tracked closely, with trends identified and improvements put into action as they come up. Supervising and coaching team members, monitoring performance and fostering a positive, productive work environment round out what this role is really about.
