Job description
The Acceptance Expert at Tap Payments in Oman is a high-achieving sales professional responsible for acquiring and managing merchant relationships to drive the adoption of Tap’s cross-border payment solutions. This role involves identifying promising merchants, generating leads through cold calling, meetings, networking, and events, and guiding merchants through the evaluation of Tap’s products. The Acceptance Expert will prepare presentations and proposals, manage the sales process as the primary merchant contact, and maintain a well-organized portfolio of key accounts. Collaboration with other sales teams to exchange best practices, business insights, and industry trends is essential. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to close deals, the ability to build credibility with clients, and a growth-oriented, solution-driven mindset. Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience in fintech or related fields, strong interpersonal skills, and fluency in English, with Arabic preferred.

Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage promising merchants to build a strong sales pipeline
- Sell cross-border payment solutions and services through cold calling, meetings, networking, and events
- Assist merchants in evaluating Tap Payments solutions and address detailed product questions
- Prepare and deliver thorough presentations and proposals for prospective merchants
- Manage the entire sales process and act as the main point of contact for merchants and partners
- Maintain an organized merchant portfolio and nurture key account relationships
- Collaborate with other sales teams to share best practices, insights, and industry trends
- Apply strong communication and negotiation techniques to close new merchant deals
- Carry out additional duties based on business needs and role growth
Experience & skills
- 2–4 years of experience in a relevant sales role with fintech understanding
- Preferred degree or equivalent real-world experience
- Ability to build credibility and develop client, merchant, and stakeholder relationships
- Ability to articulate solutions and meet client requirements

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead small engagements
