Job description
The role is responsible for checking LC, SBLC, and Collection documents under Export and Import in accordance with the bankās internal policies and ICC guidelines, including UCP, ISBP, and ISP, and lodging transactions in the processing system across all areas of Trade Finance. Responsibilities include performing sanction checks on parties in the documents, handling Commodity Trade Operations documentation, inputting documents into the system, and preparing SWIFT messages for advising. The role also includes completing ad hoc tasks assigned by the Team Head and ensuring errors or knowledge gaps causing document rejection are shared with managers and the team to improve customer service. The position requires detailed document scrutiny, strict adherence to trade finance rules and regulatory guidelines, and strong accuracy, analytical skills, organizational capabilities, and communication skills.

Key responsibilities
- Check LC, SBLC, and Collection documents under Export and Import in accordance with UCP, ISBP, ISP, ICC guidelines, and internal bank policies
- Perform sanction checking of relevant parties in trade documents
- Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents as required
- Input documents into the trade processing system and prepare SWIFT messages for advising
- Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the Team Head
- Share errors or knowledge gaps that result in document rejection with managers and team members to improve customer service
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās Degree
- Have 5ā8 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations
- Possess 2ā3 years of document checking experience
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Be able to work under pressure with strong organizational skills and be a good team player
