Job description
The Director of Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement for Building Automation at Honeywell in the UAE is responsible for creating and implementing regional GR strategies, supporting sales growth, and enabling favorable legislative and regulatory environments. The role requires deep engagement with MEA governments and agencies, regulatory advocacy, management of consulting relationships, and execution of strategic meetings with officials to promote Honeywellâs business objectives. The Director collaborates with Building Automation leadership, acts as a subject matter expert on policy impacts, and drives cross-functional efforts to integrate government relations into business problem-solving. This position reports to the Senior Government Relations Director for Honeywell META and aligns with key business KPIs to support product and service sales growth across the region.

Key responsibilities
- Create and implement government relations strategy for Building Automation in the region
- Build and maintain network with government stakeholders across the MEA region
- Advocate with regulators on strategic issues to influence policy in Honeywellâs favor
- Partner with business units to align GR strategies with product and business initiatives
- Serve as subject matter expert on legislation impacting Honeywellâs Building Automation portfolio
- Manage strategic meetings and engagements with government officials to support business objectives
- Promote Honeywellâs offerings and regional presence to educate stakeholders
- Identify government funding and incentives relevant to Building Automation
- Manage relationships with consulting firms and industry associations
- Execute strategic engagement plans aligned with GR and business priorities
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree
- 12â15 years experience in government relations or governmental agency roles
- Expert knowledge of MEA government structures and engagement tactics
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Strong communication skills including PowerPoint proficiency
- Ability to engage credibly with internal and external senior stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and execution of influence plans
- Track record of delivering client-focused legislative and regulatory outcomes
- High integrity and judgment with legal and ethical compliance orientation
- Leadership in operating systems and outcome measurement processes
