Job description
The Head of Pre-Sales role at Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies is a senior leadership position responsible for driving technical solutioning, bid management, and pre-sales strategy across ICT, ELV, Digital, Cybersecurity, Customer Experience, CRM, IoT, Cloud, Data Center, and AI domains. The role leads the end-to-end pre-sales function to deliver competitive, customer-centric, and compliant solutions that drive growth, profitability, and market leadership across the UAE, KSA, and Qatar. Responsibilities span product and services strategy, vendor and principal relationship management, commercial negotiations, solution architecture governance, cost modelling, bid and tender governance, and innovation through emerging digital technologies. The position ensures high-quality technical proposals, strong value positioning, margin protection, and alignment with Delegation of Authority policies, while leading customer-facing workshops, executive demos, and strategic deal reviews to maximize win rates in a highly competitive market.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Pre-Sales function, establishing a high-performance and customer-centric operating model
- Develop and execute product and services strategy across ICT, ELV, Cybersecurity, CX, CRM, Digital, and AI solutions
- Ensure readiness, capability uplift, and continuous development of pre-sales resources
- Build and manage strategic relationships with technology vendors and principals
- Lead commercial negotiations including rebates, incentives, special pricing, BAFOs, and LAFOs
- Define technical win strategies and guide sales teams on competitive positioning
- Lead customer-facing solution presentations, technical workshops, and executive demonstrations
- Conduct Go/No-Go reviews for major tenders and RFPs in alignment with GM and governance requirements
- Govern solution architecture and ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment across all technical domains
- Provide final technical validation and solution sign-off prior to tender submission
- Own project cost estimations including resource costing and BoQ validation
- Prepare detailed cost sheets for PMO and delivery teams
- Ensure pricing strategies protect margins and enhance competitiveness
- Lead development and submission of technical proposals, bids, and tenders across UAE, KSA, and Qatar
- Oversee documentation quality, compliance matrices, and risk registers
- Drive innovation through solution development, productisation, PoCs, and evaluation of emerging digital technologies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecom, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- 12–15 years of experience in ICT, ELV, and Digital pre-sales roles
- Proven leadership experience managing pre-sales teams and strategy
- Demonstrated experience handling multi-country tendering across UAE, KSA, and Qatar
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, pricing strategy, and bid governance
- Hands-on experience in solution design across ICT, Cloud, Data Center, Digital, Cybersecurity, CX, CRM, and AI domains
