Job description
The Store Manager in Muscat, Oman, is responsible for leading end-to-end retail store operations, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, staff performance, and sales achievement. The role involves overseeing daily store functions, including staffing, inventory, stock management, visual merchandising, and adherence to company and brand operating procedures. The Store Manager actively promotes loyalty programs to drive repeat sales, monitors product trends, and ensures staff are well-trained, knowledgeable, and motivated. Responsibilities include supervising retail staff, managing rosters, addressing grievances, performing store audits, maintaining security awareness, and providing regular feedback to the Area Manager and Operations Manager. The role requires physical stamina to manage long hours and handle operational tasks while ensuring the store meets its sales, visual, and customer service objectives.

- Brief and guide retail staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Ensure all staff are fashionable, well-groomed, and have up-to-date product knowledge to minimize stock loss and enhance customer experience.
- Maintain knowledge of new products, trends, and fashion directives to anticipate customer needs and optimize sales opportunities.
- Oversee stockroom management and inventory control to maintain required stock levels and minimize stock loss.
- Implement and enforce operating procedures, company policies, and brand standards consistently across all staff members.
- Apply creative techniques and sales strategies to achieve or exceed store sales targets and maximize revenue.
- Conduct weekly audits of store administration, resolve discrepancies, and ensure operational accuracy.
- Manage staff rosters, leave schedules, and grievances while fostering a positive and motivated team environment.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards in accordance with set VM guidelines to enhance in-store presentation and customer engagement.
- Promote and manage the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to increase repeat sales and customer loyalty.
- Supervise overall store operations, ensuring security vigilance, staff compliance, and smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Provide regular feedback to the Area Manager regarding employee performance, product management, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure awareness of all group brands to facilitate suggestive selling and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Take full responsibility for the physical, operational, and commercial performance of the store.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field to support retail management knowledge.
- Proven experience in retail store management, including sales target achievement and staff supervision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, guide, and motivate retail staff to achieve operational and sales objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of fashion trends, product knowledge, and brand awareness to optimize customer experience and sales performance.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ability to implement company operating procedures and enforce compliance consistently.
- Capable of managing rosters, staff grievances, and administrative duties effectively.
- Physical ability to manage long hours, standing, and lifting as required for end-to-end store operations.
