Job description
The Legal Counsel (GCC Focus) role supports the Legal Director in executing the organisationās legal strategy across multiple GCC jurisdictions, with primary responsibility for Employment and HR advisory, disputes and litigation management, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. The role drafts and maintains standardized employment contracts across the GCC, advises HR on terminations, disciplinary actions, and employee disputes, and ensures company policies comply with evolving labour laws. The position manages disputes, litigation, complaints, and regulatory inquiries, acts as the main liaison with external counsel, and conducts internal investigations including fact-finding and evidence collection. The role also drafts, reviews, negotiates, and standardizes commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, partnership agreements, technology licensing, and service agreements, while supporting high-value and strategic negotiations. Additionally, the role monitors and summarizes regulatory developments across real estate, mortgage, and financial sectors in the UAE, KSA, and wider GCC, providing day-to-day cross-border legal advisory support to business units in a fast-paced FinTech and PropTech environment.

- Support the design and legal enforceability of regional incentive and compensation schemes
- Implement and manage strategies for disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries
- Act as primary liaison with external legal counsel across GCC markets
- Conduct internal fact-finding and evidence collection for litigation and regulatory investigations
- Manage complaints and claims to mitigate legal, business, and reputational risks
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, partnership, technology licensing, and service contracts
- Support high-value contracts and strategic negotiations led by the Legal Director
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates for recurring business operations
- Monitor, summarize, and report regulatory developments in real estate, mortgage, and financial sectors across UAE, KSA, and the wider GCC
- Provide day-to-day legal advisory support to business units on cross-border compliance matters
Experience & skills
- Possess 3ā4 years post-qualification experience supporting legal operations across multiple GCC jurisdictions
- Demonstrate practical legal experience in UAE and KSA markets
- Be licensed to practice law in a common law jurisdiction and/or a GCC jurisdiction
- Maintain full fluency in English and Arabic, including review of dual-language legal documents
- Be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Demonstrate ability to manage legal matters independently while coordinating closely with senior legal leadership
- Exhibit strong interest in FinTech, PropTech, real estate, and mortgage sectors
