Job description
The Senior Executive β Procurement and Supply Chain Management is a mid-to-senior level professional accountable for end-to-end procurement processes and supply chain operations within the organization. This role ensures the acquisition of goods, materials, and services at optimal cost while maintaining strict quality standards, compliance, and alignment with corporate policies. The incumbent is responsible for strategic sourcing initiatives, conducting comprehensive market research, identifying and evaluating potential vendors, and developing innovative procurement strategies to achieve cost efficiency and operational excellence. The role includes negotiating supplier contracts and commercial terms, performing risk assessments, and drafting/reviewing agreements to minimize exposure. The professional manages the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase order issuance, invoice reconciliation, and payment processing, while monitoring inventory levels to avoid shortages or surplus stock. The incumbent also drives cost-saving programs, prepares and delivers MIS reports, budget forecasts, and analytical insights to senior management, and ensures adherence to all procurement policies, legal regulations, and corporate governance standards. Supplier relationship management, performance tracking against KPIs, and conducting regular supplier audits are critical aspects of the role. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, Legal, and other business units, to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with organizational objectives and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential suppliers and vendors through comprehensive market research and benchmarking, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and quality standards
- Lead and negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms to optimize cost efficiency and mitigate risks
- Manage end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase order issuance, invoice reconciliation, and timely supplier payments
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, and implement strategic initiatives for inventory optimization and cost savings
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with organizational objectives, operational budgets, and corporate policies
- Establish, monitor, and report on supplier KPIs, conducting regular performance audits to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and compliance
- Prepare and deliver management information system (MIS) reports, procurement analytics, and budget forecasts to senior management for decision-making
- Ensure strict compliance with all internal procurement policies, corporate governance frameworks, and legal/regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Legal, and other business units, to drive alignment of procurement activities with overall corporate objectives
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes, including vendor rationalization, cost reduction programs, and process automation initiatives
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; professional certification such as CIPS preferred
- 2β7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related functions, preferably in large organizations or corporate environments
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and procurement software such as Ariba, including managing P2P cycles
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, and inventory optimization
- Ability to prepare and analyze MIS reports, procurement analytics, and budget forecasts for management decision-making
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards
- Demonstrated experience in implementing cost-saving initiatives, supplier performance management, and procurement process improvement programs
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to align procurement strategy with organizational goals
