Job description
The Senior Cost Estimator (Aviation) is responsible for leading cost advisory services for aviation and airport infrastructure clients in the Middle East, providing expert cost planning, capital expenditure planning, benchmarking, and project advisory services. The role involves leading preparation and review of cost estimates, capital expenditure plans, and aviation cost benchmarks while supporting project management delivery for aviation clients. The position requires acting as the focal point for aviation-related cost and commercial bids and projects, providing advisory services using a top-down cost estimating approach based on global and regional benchmarks. The role involves deep familiarity with airport project scope, procurement routes, professional team structures, fee levels, and aviation infrastructure development. The Senior Aviation Cost Estimator supports complex multi-disciplinary projects, collaborates with internal aviation market teams, cost consultancy, and management teams across the Middle East and globally, and provides client-facing advisory services. Responsibilities include maintaining aviation cost benchmark datasets, supporting bid preparation, contributing to proposals and expressions of interest, managing client relationships, and overseeing contract delivery. The role also requires proficiency in cost management software including Primavera, CostX, SAP, advanced Excel and data analysis, and knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks including ICAO, FAA, and EASA standards. The position requires experience in airport capital projects, aviation infrastructure planning, and cost management advisory within complex aviation developments.

Key responsibilities
- Lead cost advisory services for aviation and airport infrastructure clients across the Middle East, including cost planning, capital expenditure planning, and cost benchmarking for aviation projects
- Prepare and review cost estimates, capital expenditure plans, and aviation development budgets using top-down cost estimating methodologies and global benchmarking data
- Act as focal point for aviation-related cost and commercial bids, proposals, and project opportunities, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business objectives
- Develop and maintain aviation cost benchmark datasets including airport infrastructure, terminal development, and aviation-related capital projects
- Support multi-disciplinary project teams in delivering cost consultancy and cost advisory services across complex aviation infrastructure developments
- Collaborate with internal aviation market teams and global cost consultancy teams to ensure consistent delivery standards and knowledge sharing
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while overseeing project delivery, contract management, and advisory outputs
- Support preparation of cost-related bid material, proposals, and expressions of interest for aviation infrastructure projects
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cost planning, cost estimation, or cost control preferably within aviation infrastructure or airport projects
- Strong understanding of aviation infrastructure, airport operations, and regulatory frameworks including ICAO, FAA, and EASA standards
- Proficiency in cost management software such as Primavera, CostX, SAP, or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities
- Experience delivering cost advisory and cost consultancy services on large-scale aviation capital projects
- Professional certification such as CCP, PMP, or RICS preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing advisory experience within aviation infrastructure projects
