Hotel guests and colleagues at Pearl Rotana in Abu Dhabi depend on working technology, and this IT Supervisor is the first call when something stops. Hardware operation and security are monitored daily across computers, printers, telephones, interactive systems and key lock systems. Repairs and maintenance are handled hands-on, with logs, hardware configuration records and telephone system documentation, including MPT lines, kept up to date. User access and authorisations cover Windows, email, Opera, Micros and Novell. Supplies of office and computer equipment need to stay at sufficient levels. Every user request should get an adequate, timely response, delivered with the customer-focused service the hotel expects. Department procedures guide the work, and unpredictable events call for a calm, flexible approach. Candidates need a degree in information technology, previous experience in a similar role, proven equipment maintenance knowledge and good English, and Emirati nationals are the target for this position.
