Job description
The role focuses on driving data-informed decision-making within Al-Futtaim Retailās Digital Retail team by creating and maintaining interactive Microsoft Power BI dashboards, writing complex SQL and DAX queries, and leveraging Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery for large-scale analytics. It requires building and managing data models, automation workflows, and ETL processes to streamline reporting. The position integrates online and offline data sources, analyzes sales, stock, pricing, and marketing campaign data, and conducts statistical and regression analysis for forecasting, sell-through, and inventory optimization. It involves working with SQL Server, Google Analytics 4, Funnel, and Branch integrations for data ingestion and validation, ensuring data governance, accuracy, and reliability. The role includes translating analytical outputs into business narratives and recommendations, collaborating with eCommerce, CRM, Planning, and Finance teams to define KPIs, automating reporting, supporting A/B testing, and designing scalable data solutions. Technical expertise includes SQL, R, Python, predictive analytics, data mining, Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Google BigQuery, ETL pipelines, and statistical models such as Holt-Winters, XG-Boost, SARIMA, and Deep LSTM, with strong focus on data quality and validation.

Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Microsoft Power BI to track eCommerce and omnichannel performance
- Write complex SQL and DAX queries leveraging Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery for large-scale analysis
- Build and manage data models, automation workflows, and ETL processes to streamline data flows and reporting
- Integrate online and offline data to deliver a unified business view and analyze sales, stock, pricing, and campaign performance
- Conduct statistical and regression analysis for forecasting, sell-through improvement, and inventory optimization
- Work with SQL Server, Google BigQuery, Google Analytics 4, and Funnel or Branch for data ingestion and validation
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and reliability across dashboards and reports
- Translate analytical results into business narratives, visual insights, and actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with eCommerce, CRM, Planning, and Finance teams to define KPIs and automate reporting
- Support A/B testing and performance tracking to measure marketing and business impacts
- Anticipate analytics needs and design scalable data solutions to meet future demand
Experience & skills
- Bring 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Digital Retail Analytics
- Demonstrate proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python, and DAX
- Show hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Google BigQuery
- Possess background in Retail Analytics, Digital Analytics, or E-Commerce
- Apply strong project management skills to manage multiple priorities
- Maintain a structured, meticulous, and detail-oriented working approach
