Job description
The Senior Platform Engineer role at Mastercard supports the European Data Center team by expanding and maintaining operational capacity across colocation data center facilities within the United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for deploying and maintaining IT infrastructure in colocation environments, managing relationships with colocation providers and vendors, coordinating third-party integrators during installations and maintenance, and overseeing contract compliance with colocation service agreements. The position requires hands-on involvement in outage support, including on-call duties, maintaining accurate documentation of hardware assets, cabling, and network layouts, and collaborating with internal teams to support infrastructure scaling and capacity planning. The role also involves coordinating with colocation vendors to collect documentation required for internal and external audits and site assessments, while ensuring compliance with Mastercardās information security policies, confidentiality standards, and mandatory security training requirements. The engineer operates within Mastercardās global digital payments infrastructure environment, supporting secure, resilient, and scalable data center operations.

- Coordinate with colocation vendors to collect documentation for internal and external audits and site assessments
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard security policies, confidentiality requirements, and information security standards
- Report suspected information security violations or breaches and complete mandatory security trainings
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrate understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and data center infrastructure
- Possess experience with cabling, racking, and equipment installation in colocation environments
- Demonstrate proficiency in data center technologies including power and cooling systems
- Show understanding of physical and network security standards in data centers
- Have hands-on experience with server, storage, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Be able to independently perform cabling diagnostics and troubleshooting
