Job description
The Lead Compliance & Whistleblowing role in Qatar is responsible for overseeing and administering the organizationās Whistleblower Program, ensuring alignment with internal governance requirements and regulatory obligations in the State of Qatar. The role includes selecting and implementing appropriate whistleblowing software solutions, refining policies and procedures, and establishing standardized investigation protocols and guidelines. The position involves conducting internal reviews and investigations into allegations of non-compliance with laws, regulations, policies, or ethical standards, preparing detailed investigation reports, and working closely with senior management to implement remedial actions and strengthen internal controls. The Lead also contributes to strategic initiatives within the Compliance Department, provides independent assurance through compliance monitoring, and supports fraud prevention and awareness programs. The role requires strong investigative expertise, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to senior leadership and the Audit Committee. Professional certifications such as ACFE are highly valued, along with advanced knowledge of compliance and investigation standards, ERP systems, and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities
- Manage oversight and administration of the Whistleblower Program
- Select and implement whistleblower case management software aligned with organizational requirements
- Develop and refine compliance policies, procedures, and investigation protocols
- Review and assess initial allegations based on established screening criteria
- Conduct internal investigations into non-compliance and ethical violations
- Draft detailed investigation reports and present findings to senior management and Audit Committee
- Collaborate with management to implement remedial actions and close control gaps
- Generate regular and ad-hoc compliance reports and enhance reporting processes
- Provide independent assurance through compliance monitoring activities
- Lead fraud prevention initiatives and conduct investigation awareness training
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Risk Management, Compliance, Law, or related field
- 5ā7 years of experience in compliance or investigative roles; GCC experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulations and legislation in the State of Qatar
- Professional certification such as ACFE preferred; CIA, CPA, or ACCA advantageous
- Demonstrated investigative experience including whistleblower case handling
- Strong analytical skills with ability to review documents, conduct interviews, and assess compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Arabic proficiency preferred
- High level of discretion, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness
- Proficiency in CaseWare or similar software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications
