Job description
The Cigna Group is seeking a Claims Processor in Riyadh to validate, review, and process medical insurance claims. The role involves preparing claim forms, verifying documentation, determining coverage, calculating claim amounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The processor will maintain accurate policy and claim records, manage payments, and handle queries from doctors, agents, and beneficiaries. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance coding (CPT, ICD-9) is required, along with computer proficiency, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key responsibilities
- Validate information on all medical claims from patients seeking insurance payments
- Thoroughly review claims to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Maintain meticulous records of claims and follow up on lapsed cases
- Record and maintain policy and claims data in the system
- Determine policy coverage and calculate claim amounts
- Process claim payments in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Answer queries related to policy coverage criteria and guidelines
- Approve or deny claims based on accurate assessment of medical documents
- Communicate with doctors' offices and insurance companies to resolve claim issues
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as required
Experience & skills
- Medical qualification background is an advantage
- 0–2 years of experience as a claims processor or related role
- Knowledge of medical terminologies, CPT codes, and ICD-9 codes
- Working knowledge of the insurance industry and relevant regulations
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Good administrative and organizational abilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure
