Job description
The Senior Engagement Manager – Workforce Planning & Organizational Design at Mercer Middle East will lead complex, high-stakes HR transformation projects across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. This senior role focuses on delivering strategic solutions in workforce planning, organizational design, change management, and talent strategy development for top-tier clients. The incumbent will design and execute advanced workforce planning frameworks leveraging predictive modeling, scenario planning, and organizational diagnostics to anticipate future talent needs and align with client strategic objectives. The role requires providing advisory services to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, translating complex data and analytics into actionable insights and recommendations. The Senior Engagement Manager will drive cultural transformation, leadership development programs, and organizational restructuring initiatives while ensuring measurable impact. The position includes mentoring and managing project teams, fostering a high-performance culture, and maintaining long-term client relationships. Continuous engagement with regional labor market trends, regulatory developments, and HR innovations is critical to delivering cutting-edge, regionally relevant solutions. Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee large-scale, multi-disciplinary workforce planning and organizational design projects aligned with strategic client objectives
- Develop and implement innovative workforce planning frameworks using predictive modeling, scenario planning, and advanced analytics to anticipate future talent needs
- Drive organizational design initiatives, integrating change management, cultural transformation, and leadership development to ensure sustainable impact
- Provide strategic advisory services to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, translating complex workforce data into actionable recommendations
- Mentor and manage project and client teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring excellence in project delivery
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, positioning Mercer as a trusted partner for HR transformation and organizational change
- Stay abreast of regional labor market trends, regulatory developments, and HR best practices to inform innovative solutions
- Contribute to thought leadership, regional market intelligence, and Mercer’s intellectual capital through insights, research, and presentations
- Support business development efforts by participating in proposal development, client presentations, and engagement strategy planning
- Ensure consistent application of Mercer’s methodologies, tools, and frameworks across projects to maintain high-quality delivery
- Collaborate across internal teams to leverage firm-wide expertise and resources for comprehensive client solutions
- Track project performance, evaluate outcomes, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and impact measurement
Experience & skills
- 10+ years of consulting or strategic advisory experience in workforce planning, organizational design, or HR transformation
- Proven success leading complex, high-impact projects at senior levels within the GCC region, delivering measurable results
- Deep expertise in advanced workforce analytics, predictive modeling, and organizational diagnostics
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to influence and advise C-suite stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team management capabilities
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) for effective regional communication; English proficiency required
- Willingness to travel and work onsite in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries as required
- Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative HR solutions aligned with regional and industry best practices
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills, including proposal development and presentations
- Ability to navigate complex organizational challenges, drive change initiatives, and foster sustainable cultural transformation
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a high-stakes, fast-paced consulting environment
