Job description
Cargo at flydubai is growing in scale and complexity, and this Dubai manager keeps handling, warehouse and ramp performance on track across DXB and DWC. dnata and other ground handling partners deliver much of the work, so SLA compliance, handling standards and service quality are monitored daily. Bulk-loaded and ULD palletised operations both fall within scope, along with acceptance, warehouse activities and ramp processes written into handling contracts. KPIs and Safety Performance Targets follow UAE GCAA standards, and accidents, incidents, irregularities and complaints are investigated to root cause. Cargo safety, security and risk frameworks are managed with the Safety & Security team. Customs, Health, Police and other authorities at both airports work with you to keep cargo, courier and mail moving. Cargo sections of the Ground Handling Manual (GHM) are owned and kept current. Product development brings pharma, express, automotive and oversized cargo into the mix, supported by system automation and long-term infrastructure planning. Eight to ten years in cargo, freight handling or aviation ground operations with large team management is required, along with a Bachelor's degree and advanced cargo and Dangerous Goods training such as IATA CBTA 7.3A or GCAA FIT4.1D. SMS, aviation security and special cargo certifications are expected, and Cargo EDI or Weight & Balance licences are desirable.
