Job description
The Senior Engineer (Reliability Engineering) role at KBR supports the SMS Reliability Analysis Services Project for ADNOC Offshore facilities in Abu Dhabi. The position is designed for a highly experienced reliability professional responsible for supporting the Reliability and Maintenance function by developing and updating maintenance strategies, optimizing preventive maintenance programs, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, and monitoring reliability performance indicators. The role involves continuous monitoring and analysis of reliability KPIs such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), equipment availability, and failure trends to improve asset reliability and maintenance performance. The engineer utilizes SAP, Maximo, or equivalent CMMS data combined with field feedback to validate equipment performance and ensure maintenance strategies are accurately implemented. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating equipment-specific maintenance strategies using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) principles aligned with ADNOC asset integrity and maintenance philosophy. The role also supports preventive maintenance history reviews, task list re-engineering, asset criticality assessments, and contributes to decarbonization, energy transition, and sustainability objectives within ADNOC Offshore operations.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize maintenance strategies to support Reliability and Maintenance functions across ADNOC Offshore facilities
- Monitor and analyze reliability KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and failure trends to drive continuous improvement
- Utilize SAP, Maximo, and CMMS data alongside field feedback to validate equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness
- Review, update, and standardize equipment-specific maintenance strategies using RCM and FMEA methodologies
- Support and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify failure causes and recommend corrective actions
- Review preventive maintenance history and task lists to re-engineer PM programs for technical accuracy and operational effectiveness
- Perform RAM analysis, reliability measurement, and asset criticality assessments to enhance asset performance
- Ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with ADNOC asset integrity and maintenance philosophy
- Provide technical input to improve maintenance efficiency, reliability performance, and lifecycle asset management
- Contribute to sustainability, decarbonization, and energy transition initiatives through improved reliability practices
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Corrosion, Metallurgy, Process, or related Engineering discipline
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in RAM analysis, reliability measurement, RCA facilitation, FMEA/RCM, and PM optimization
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of reliability engineering principles, asset criticality, and maintenance optimization
- Be proficient in SAP, Maximo, or equivalent CMMS platforms and reliability data analysis tools
- Hold Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification
- Hold Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
- Possess certification in Reliability Engineering from a reputed professional organization or society
- Demonstrate experience supporting offshore oil and gas facilities, preferably within ADNOC operations
- Show awareness or involvement in decarbonization, energy transition, and sustainability initiatives within engineering and maintenance contexts
