Job description
Chalhoub Group is seeking an Interior Designer Project Management professional to support the end-to-end delivery of luxury retail, F&B, or hospitality projects from concept to handover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role encompasses managing project execution, ensuring quality adherence to design intent, and timely delivery. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to align project requirements and timelines, providing technical support through the preparation of layouts, space plans, renders, and presentations, and tracking project progress. The position requires active follow-up on approvals, payments, material deliveries, and procurement processes, as well as assisting in quotations, BOQs, tender documentation, and contract support. The candidate will monitor site activities through regular visits, ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications, resolve on-site issues, and provide detailed reports to supervisors. The role demands a strong understanding of design and construction workflows, procurement, contracting, and site execution, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office. This position operates in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, requiring effective communication, relationship-building, time management, organizational skills, and resilience to balance multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.

Key responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end delivery of interior design projects from concept to handover, ensuring adherence to design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Proactively liaise with clients, client business partners, project team members, and other divisions to ensure project alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare systematically full reports on project progress, identify potential problems, propose solutions, and obtain approvals from supervisors to maintain smooth project flow.
- Produce status summaries of verified project milestones according to the project calendar, follow up on approvals, payment cycles, and material deliveries to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality against approved drawings and specifications, track discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Prepare design layouts, space plans, renders, and visual presentations using AutoCAD and/or SketchUp to support concept development, decision-making, and client approvals.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure all project documentation, drawings, and updates are aligned with site progress and project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and drawing packages for approval and issuance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Support the preparation and follow-up of contract appointments and documentation with group procurement, review quotations and material submittals, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
- Participate in relevant projects, community initiatives, and internal activities as needed to support organizational goals and project success.
Experience & skills
- 1–3 years of experience in design coordination or project delivery within retail, F&B, or hospitality sectors, preferably in Luxury environments.
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in Project Management with hands-on exposure to interior design workflows.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint for design documentation, presentations, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of design and construction processes from concept through completion, including site coordination, quality assurance, and adherence to specifications.
- Knowledge of procurement, contracting, tendering, and site execution workflows to support project delivery and cost management.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and effective time management for multi-project coordination.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced matrixed environment, and adapt to changing project requirements while meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills to engage with clients, contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
