Job description
The AVP & Lead, Credit Management (Large Corporates) at First Abu Dhabi Bank is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and recommending credit facilities for a portfolio of large corporate clients. The role emphasizes strict compliance with credit policies and guidelines. Key tasks include timely preparation of credit applications, conducting client visits and due diligence in collaboration with the coverage team, and coordinating with Relationship Managers to collect required information for annual credit reviews. The position ensures adherence to credit processing and approval SLAs, monitors account compliance with approval conditions, and identifies early warning indicators to address potential problem accounts promptly. It also involves reviewing exception and portfolio reports, staying updated on clients' financial status and market conditions, and delivering accurate data to senior management. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, with a Chartered Accountant or MBA qualification preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in the banking sector, including 3 years in credit management roles for large corporates.

- Provide recommendations for changes in risk appetite, ratings, or classification
- Ensure accuracy of data presented to stakeholders and senior management
Experience & skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree
- Hold a Chartered Accountant certification or MBA (desirable)
- Have 5 years’ experience in the banking sector
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in credit management roles with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Demonstrate experience in Credit Management of Large Corporates
