Credit decisions in banking depend on models that predict risk accurately, and this Abu Dhabi contract brings in a data scientist to build and improve them. Work centres on credit risk use cases such as loans, scoring platforms, scorecards and underwriting. The client wants real data science depth here rather than an AI engineering profile. Models are developed and deployed with AWS SageMaker, so hands-on experience with it is essential. Expect to work with large banking datasets, testing and validating models before they inform lending decisions. Results need to be explained clearly to risk and business stakeholders. The contract runs for six months with a view to extend, is fully in-office, and pays AED 25,000 to 30,000 per month. Around 6 to 8 years of experience, including banking and credit risk projects, is required.
