Job description
Bede operates as Zain Bahrain's fintech subsidiary, running Bahrain's first Shariah-compliant Islamic financing app under license from the Central Bank of Bahrain, and this Reconciliation Analyst role sits inside that Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager. Financial and operational integrity across every transaction flow in Bede's product portfolio gets monitored, reconciled, and validated end to end, covering disbursement through customer account credit, repayment collection, and reflection in the Loan Management System. You will use Tableau dashboards and financial reports, supported by the BI/BA team for data extraction and Revenue Assurance for methodology, to identify discrepancies and investigate anomalies independently before escalating only critical findings. Microfinance, prepaid cards, wallet services, and remittances make up the current product suite under coverage, with future products such as insurance and investment extending scope as Bede launches them. Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations verify that transactions across every product line process accurately from initiation through completion. Anomalies get traced through system logs, transaction records, and process documentation, with a structured log kept of root cause, financial impact, resolution steps, and closure date for each discrepancy. System-to-system interfaces and automated processes, including disbursements, repayment postings, fee calculations, and settlements, get validated against how they were designed and configured. Reconciliation reports reach the Finance Manager covering status, open items, ageing, and resolution progress, and this role acts as Bede's financial control layer, protecting revenue integrity across all systems and products.
