The PMC Project Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality management systems across a major oil and gas project while representing the client and ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves managing the application of quality principles, systems, and measures across business units, business groups, or large and complex projects, ensuring compliance with the Wood Business Management System and project quality standards. The position requires conducting quality audits, managing non-conformities, implementing risk-based assurance programs, and ensuring contractors and subcontractors adhere to project specifications, codes, and industry best practices. The PMC Project Quality Manager supports continuous improvement initiatives by using performance data to drive fact-based decision-making, improve delivery efficiency, reduce rework, and enhance customer satisfaction. The role includes engaging with senior leadership, presenting quality performance data, supporting preventive interventions, and managing quality teams. The position requires comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 standards, formal root cause analysis techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies. The PMC Project Quality Manager acts as a liaison between client representatives, engineering teams, and construction contractors to ensure project safety, compliance, and quality excellence across all phases of project execution while supporting large-scale oil and gas project delivery.
