The Director – Business Development role within the International Office of AD Ports Group is responsible for identifying and developing new international business opportunities, implementing strategic business development plans, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The International Office acts as the central unit connecting AD Ports Group’s five business clusters—Ports, Maritime, Logistics, Digital, and ECFZ—to support global expansion across Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, with operations and projects spanning more than 40 countries. The role leads growth opportunity identification, due diligence, and project development to create balanced growth for the organization and the wider economy. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive business development strategies aligned with AD Ports Group objectives, preparing full business cases for investment committee and board review, leading negotiations with clients, partners, and government authorities, conducting market and competitor analysis within the ports and logistics sector, establishing strategic partnerships, and monitoring the effectiveness of business development initiatives. The position also evaluates financial, operational, and regulatory risks associated with international expansion, contributes to corporate strategic planning, represents the organization at industry events, and leads business development teams by setting KPIs, monitoring performance, and ensuring accountability.
