Manager - Purchasing

The Manager – Purchasing is responsible for managing and leading end-to-end purchasing operations for Red Sea Global's Regenerative Escapes Tourism Company, ensuring the efficient planning, sourcing, negotiation, procurement, acquisition, and timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency, supplier performance, operational excellence, and compliance with organizational policies and governance requirements. The role supports corporate operations and large-scale event delivery by overseeing purchasing activities related to production services, audio-visual services, venues, branding materials, furniture, catering services, logistics, promotional items, entertainment requirements, and other operational needs. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements, prioritize procurement requests, align purchasing activities with operational and project timelines, negotiate pricing, payment terms, commercial conditions, and delivery schedules, and secure the best overall value while maintaining quality and service standards. The incumbent establishes and manages approved supplier relationships through supplier sourcing, vendor evaluation, supplier performance monitoring, continuous improvement initiatives, and relationship management to ensure reliable, high-quality service delivery. The role is responsible for monitoring purchasing expenditure against approved budgets, analyzing spending trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, preparing purchasing reports, dashboards, and management information, and ensuring purchasing decisions contribute to operational efficiency and financial performance. The position ensures all purchasing activities comply with company procurement policies, delegated authorities, contractual obligations, governance frameworks, and documentation requirements while proactively resolving supplier delivery issues, invoice discrepancies, purchasing risks, and quality concerns to maintain uninterrupted business operations. Additionally, the role supports inventory planning and demand forecasting by coordinating purchasing schedules with supplier lead times and operational requirements while driving continuous improvement of purchasing processes, procurement systems, supplier performance, operational efficiency, and service quality. From a leadership perspective, the position contributes to departmental strategy aligned with Red Sea Global's Vision 2030 objectives, develops Section or Unit objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans, supports budget preparation and financial performance monitoring, ensures implementation of departmental policies and procedures, oversees KPI communication, and manages staffing, employee development, resource deployment, and overall team performance in coordination with senior management.
