Country Technology Manager (CTM) role in a banking and financial services environment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, responsible for ensuring continuous availability, high performance, and strong security of all production applications supporting business and operational functions. The role provides full oversight of local IT infrastructure including data centres, servers, networking equipment, storage systems, external connectivity gateways, and telephony systems. It requires leadership in managing technological initiatives, coordinating system rollouts, resolving complex infrastructure issues, and ensuring infrastructure integrity and operational resilience. The CTM acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the wider technology ecosystem, ensuring alignment, communication, and governance across IT operations. Responsibilities include managing the country-specific technology budget, overseeing risk management activities, and supporting technology product implementations and system enhancements. The role ensures compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and change governance through strict control of production changes. It also involves leading service review meetings, engaging with ITSC, PSS, TechOps, and network teams, and driving service improvement initiatives. The CTM serves as the primary escalation point for high severity incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and conducting root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions. The role includes vendor management, SLA monitoring, audit facilitation, and approval of critical system changes. It also focuses on cloud transformation initiatives, modernization of infrastructure, reduction of system obsolescence, and improvement of operational stability and recovery times. The position ensures high availability of banking applications and supports continuous improvement of IT infrastructure across the country environment.
