Team Leader - Fleet Operations

The Team Leader - Fleet Operations in Dubai, UAE is responsible for managing and optimizing a large-scale commercial fleet of over 200 vehicles across all Emirates within GMG, a multinational well-being company operating in retail, distribution, manufacturing, and logistics sectors. The role focuses on maximizing fleet efficiency, minimizing operational costs, and ensuring timely and effective fleet services to internal stakeholders. The Team Leader oversees vehicle scheduling and allocation, preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with UAE transport regulations, including licensing, insurance, and registration. The position includes obtaining and managing distribution permits for food, non-food, and pharmaceutical transport in line with local authority requirements. Coordination with internal departments such as Operations, HR, Procurement, and Finance, as well as external partners like workshops, insurers, logistics agents, and government regulators, is critical to maintaining uninterrupted fleet operations. The role also involves monitoring and controlling fleet-related operational expenses, including fuel, tolls, maintenance, insurance, and permits, while optimizing fuel consumption and managing toll systems such as Salik and DARB. Workshop coordination, timely servicing, urgent repairs, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards are key responsibilities, ensuring minimal downtime and effective vehicle turnaround across the logistics department.
