Lead Designer - Instrumentation

The Lead Designer - Instrumentation is responsible for delivering high-quality electrical, instrumentation, and telecom designs for offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities in compliance with customer technical specifications and company standards. This role involves preparing equipment layouts, EIT support drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, termination drawings, hook-ups, and 3D models, while performing interdisciplinary design checks and ensuring safety, operability, and materials handling considerations. The designer monitors project schedules, manages resources across multiple projects, reviews vendor drawings, supports bid engineering with material and man-hour estimations, and incorporates lessons learned into future designs. Additionally, the position includes overseeing change management, preparing as-built documentation, coordinating across offices, supporting HSES compliance, and acting as a checker or mentor for team members. Proficiency in PDMS/Aveva or equivalent 3D modeling tools, AutoCAD, and familiarity with international electrical and instrumentation standards (IEC, ISA, API, NFPA, IEEE) are required. Practical experience on-site or deputed to project sites is highly desirable.
