The Thought Leadership Lead – IMEA Region role at Oliver Wyman is a contract position providing 9–12 month parental leave cover within the Marketing & Communications function, based in Dubai and supporting the India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) region. The role focuses on managing the editorial strategy and execution of high-quality thought leadership content that reinforces Oliver Wyman’s reputation as a trusted publisher of rigorous and insightful industry perspectives. The position operates within a consulting environment where thought leadership serves as a key channel for communicating expertise, market insights, and strategic viewpoints. The role is editorial-first and responsible for shaping, editing, and delivering content across multiple formats including flagship reports, analytical articles, op-eds, and digital platforms such as LinkedIn. The professional collaborates closely with senior consultants, subject-matter experts, analysts, designers, and the broader marketing and communications team to ensure that all content maintains high standards of clarity, credibility, creativity, and intellectual rigor. Responsibilities include overseeing the regional editorial pipeline aligned with business priorities, ensuring consistent messaging and narrative quality across outputs, and guiding the full lifecycle of thought leadership production. This includes early-stage concept development, editorial angle definition, drafting and editing, fact-checking and data validation, and final approval prior to publication. The role also contributes to shaping editorial narratives by translating complex, technical, and data-driven consulting insights into clear, compelling, and audience-relevant content formats. The position requires coordination of multi-stakeholder content development processes, including project management of editorial timelines, managing multiple concurrent deliverables, and facilitating revision and approval cycles. While the role does not directly own media relations execution, it collaborates closely with the Media Relations and PR Lead by providing editorial guidance, messaging frameworks, and talking points to support media engagement and external amplification. The role also works with digital, social media, and campaign teams to ensure that thought leadership outputs are optimized for digital distribution and audience engagement across channels. The successful candidate must demonstrate extensive editorial expertise, experience editing complex analytical material, and the ability to collaborate with senior consulting professionals to refine ideas into structured narratives while preserving intellectual integrity and brand standards. The role requires strong project management capabilities, editorial quality control, and experience coordinating content production workflows in a fast-paced consulting or publishing environment.
