The Senior HVAC Technician (Hotel Engineering & Mechanical Systems) at The Ritz-Carlton Doha in Doha, Qatar is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and ensuring the operational efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, air quality control equipment, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical and electrical infrastructure across the luxury hospitality property. Operating within the engineering and maintenance department of a five-star luxury hotel with 374 rooms and suites, award-winning restaurants, spa facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, private beach, event spaces, and meeting venues, the role ensures the continuous performance and reliability of building mechanical systems that support guest comfort and operational functionality. The Senior HVAC Technician performs regular inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant, monitors and controls property temperature levels, and conducts energy monitoring and utilities monitoring to ensure efficient energy usage and operational performance. The position is responsible for calibrating controls, gauges, meters, and other monitoring equipment to maintain accurate system performance. The role also involves assembling, installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and electronic wiring associated with HVAC and mechanical infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include assembling and maintaining pipe assemblies, pipe fittings, valves, and related mechanical components required for the operation of HVAC and refrigeration systems. The technician performs routine pool maintenance and spa maintenance to ensure safe and efficient facility operations within the property’s wellness and leisure areas. The position must comply with company policies related to safety, security, and operational procedures, including reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries and completing required safety training and certifications. The role requires adherence to quality standards and operational procedures while identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings within the property’s engineering operations. The Senior HVAC Technician must hold relevant technical qualifications and certifications including HVAC Certification, EPA Universal Certification, and a Driver's License, along with a minimum of three years of related technical work experience. The position involves physical work conditions including operating in confined or elevated spaces, moving across uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, handling mechanical equipment, and lifting objects exceeding 100 pounds when required, while delivering maintenance support aligned with The Ritz-Carlton’s luxury service standards and Marriott International engineering and safety guidelines.
