The Senior Specialist Emergency & Crises Management (HSSE Emergency Response & Fire Safety) role at OQ Exploration and Production in Muscat, Oman is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Emergency and Crisis Management framework aligned with QHSSE vision, regulatory requirements, and international standards. The role strengthens emergency preparedness and response capabilities across all operational assets through emergency planning, risk assessment, coordination of drills and exercises, and integration of emergency response requirements into operational activities. The position provides technical expertise in emergency response planning, incident and crisis coordination, business continuity management, and command and control structures, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external authorities including ROP, RAFO, Civil Defense, hospitals, and mutual aid partners. The role supports the deployment and configuration of ISNAD digital emergency management platform, incident logging, emergency notifications, chronological logs, and situational awareness dashboards. The position ensures compliance with NFPA standards, ISO 45001, Omani National Emergency Strategies (NCEM), Omani and international fire safety regulations, and HSE Management System requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), Incident Command Posts (ICP), Unified Command Centers (UCC), coordinating emergency drills, multi-agency exercises, and competency development for Contractor Fire Fighters, Incident Response Teams (IRT), Incident Management Teams (IMT), Emergency Management Teams (EMT), and Crisis Management Teams (CMT). The role involves supporting emergency communications, incident reporting, governance, after-action reviews (AAR), and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also provides fire investigation technical advice, monitors department OPEX and CAPEX performance, and supports emergency readiness across field and office-based environments requiring frequent travel to operational assets.
