Business Continuity Manager role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia responsible for managing the development, monitoring, review, and continuous improvement of business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and emergency management capabilities to support an organizational continuity program and governance. The position manages the development of disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets such as data centers; analyzes impact on and risk to essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements; manages the development of emergency management plans covering recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, and temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance; manages, monitors, and reviews existing disaster recovery, crisis management, or business continuity plans for continuous improvement; interprets government regulations to ensure the Business Continuity setup is compliant with government regulations; manages, monitors, and reviews corporate intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, or warnings indicating threats to people safety, assets, information, or infrastructure; assesses and develops products and services to mitigate risk or facilitate use of technology-based tools and methods; prepares reports summarizing operational results and accomplishments of specified objectives, goals, or plans to support management decision making; assesses and develops business continuity (BC) Minimum requirements for members & DV and manages, monitors, and assesses Members BC Minimum requirements compliance reporting; and manages BC awareness and testing of BC plans, disaster recovery, and crisis management. The role also includes key accountabilities for managing and controlling unit projects to ensure project cycle completion aligned to company guidelines and quality, guiding direct reports to perform operations per policies and procedures, overseeing unit staff motivation, training, and performance standards, setting performance objectives and evaluating teams with regular feedback, complying with communication and information sharing/handling policy to ensure confidentiality, complying with relevant risk and information security procedures to operate within acceptable risk levels, managing the development and implementation of unit policies, procedures, and processes across unit activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and processes to achieve operational excellence. Education requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent, with a preferred professional qualification as Certified Business Continuity Professional or equivalent, and the role requires 6+ years of experience in business continuity at a large organization or in business continuity consulting.
