Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the design, architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud-native products while managing multiple high-performing Agile Scrum engineering teams across web and mobile platforms. The role combines technical leadership, software architecture, people management, and project delivery, ensuring the successful execution of large-scale software initiatives from concept through production. The position owns the architecture and delivery of cloud-native microservices, defines technical roadmaps, makes key architectural decisions, and collaborates closely with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, Quality Assurance (QA), and Release Management teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. The Engineering Manager promotes engineering excellence through clean code principles, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Agile Scrum methodologies, and continuous automation while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires extensive expertise in Java/J2EE, cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), REST APIs, Domain-Driven Design, distributed systems, Java MVC frameworks, React Native, Android, iOS, microservices architecture, and enterprise software development. The successful candidate will mentor engineering talent, foster a high-performance engineering culture, proactively manage stakeholder expectations, resolve delivery risks, optimize application performance, and drive innovation across cloud-native enterprise platforms. Previous experience within large-scale eCommerce, retail technology, complex product organizations, or enterprise technology companies is highly desirable.
