The Quality Assurance Engineer – Infrastructure & Mixed-Use Development Projects role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and supports one of the largest infrastructure and mixed-use development programmes in the Kingdom, including sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts developments, and associated infrastructure works. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining project-specific quality assurance (QA) plans, procedures, and inspection and test plans (ITPs) in alignment with Mace standards and client requirements. The engineer is responsible for monitoring contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards across civil, utilities, and infrastructure packages. The position requires conducting regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance activities to ensure construction works are executed in compliance with QA/QC procedures and regulatory requirements. The role also includes managing non-conformance processes (NCRs), including identification, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and closure tracking. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving material submittals, method statements, and quality documentation prior to construction activities, ensuring readiness and compliance before execution. The engineer collaborates closely with delivery teams, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a proactive quality culture and ensure right-first-time delivery. The role requires experience in consultancy-led project environments, particularly during the project delivery phase, along with commercial awareness and stakeholder relationship management. Additional expectations include awareness of sustainability and carbon considerations in infrastructure delivery, as well as working within large, complex, multi-stakeholder project environments to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient project outcomes.
