Head of Sales & GTM - Remittance
by Lean Technologies in FinTech & Digital Payments
The Head of Sales & GTM - Remittance is a senior leadership role responsible for owning the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, revenue growth, market penetration, and full P&L for the remittance vertical across the UAE and KSA within Lean’s rapidly scaling fintech infrastructure platform. As Lean evolves from a pioneering Open Finance platform into a multi-product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA, this role leads the commercial expansion into one of the region’s most strategically important and high-consumption segments: remittance providers, payout platforms, stablecoin-enabled corridors, and global money movement companies. The role requires deep domain expertise in remittance economics, stablecoin flows, payout liquidity, treasury operations, KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance frameworks, as well as a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape and operational mechanics of international money movement. The position is responsible for defining the vertical roadmap, including payout flows, liquidity management, treasury operations, KYC/AML workflows, corridor-specific requirements, settlement paths, and operational infrastructure required for large-scale remittance processing. The leader will design and execute a scalable Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy that segments global remitters, payout networks, crypto-enabled remittance firms, and enterprise remittance operators while positioning Lean as the infrastructure partner enabling lower-cost, highly reliable, and compliant cross-border money movement. This role leads complex enterprise sales engagements involving founders, payment leaders, compliance heads, and treasury operators within remittance organizations, while also owning deal strategy for new customer acquisition and expansion across use cases such as guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, stablecoin settlements, and payout flows. The position collaborates closely with Product and Engineering to shape platform roadmap priorities based on corridor economics, payout SLAs, treasury constraints, fraud management requirements, compliance workflows, and remittance operator infrastructure. The role also partners with Product Marketing to develop vertical-specific messaging, pricing models, sales enablement frameworks, and use-case playbooks tailored to remittance operators. Working cross-functionally with Customer Success Managers (CSM) and Solutions Engineers (SE), the leader ensures activation excellence, operational readiness, and scalable consumption across high-volume remittance accounts. Externally, the role represents Lean within the remittance ecosystem including industry events, regulatory bodies, crypto settlement providers, global payout partners, and money transfer networks, while building deep operational expertise in FX management, liquidity management, stablecoin on/off-ramps, treasury optimisation, fraud prevention, KYC/AML compliance obligations, and regulatory financial environments. The leader builds and manages a dedicated GTM vertical POD consisting of Account Executives (AEs), Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and Solutions Engineers (SEs), establishing KPIs, operating rhythms, and performance metrics tied to remittance revenue growth. The role also involves coaching and developing talent to strengthen domain expertise, enterprise sales execution, and commercial decision-making while ensuring consistency, sales velocity, and predictable revenue growth within the remittance vertical. Lean has processed billions of dollars in transactions and serves more than 300 clients including major platforms such as Binance, Careem, and Etisalat, backed by leading investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq, following a $67.5M Series B funding round supporting expansion into new markets, offices, and product capabilities across MENA.
