Solution Architecture Manager

The Solution Architecture Manager is responsible for leading the design of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions within a cloud-native ecosystem while driving enterprise technology transformation. The role combines technical leadership, strategic planning, architectural governance, and hands-on solution design to ensure technology solutions remain future-ready and aligned with business objectives. The position leads and mentors a team of Solution Architects responsible for designing systems across multiple business domains and technology stacks. Key responsibilities include architecting and guiding cloud-native solutions on AWS, OCI, or GCP platforms, covering compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services; driving strategic technical decisions that balance immediate delivery requirements with long-term scalability, maintainability, innovation, resilience, and cost-efficiency; and maintaining architecture documentation using Draw.io, Lucidchart, C4 model, UML, BPMN, system diagrams, component and container views, business process flows, and behavioral models. The role defines and standardizes architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven architecture, service mesh, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), hexagonal architecture, clean architecture, serverless and containerized solutions, event sourcing, CQRS, and saga patterns. It requires extensive expertise in enterprise integration, distributed systems, API-first development, REST, GraphQL, gRPC, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS and SNS, API gateways, and service orchestration and choreography. The position promotes performance engineering, high availability, fault tolerance, observability, disaster recovery, business continuity, RTO/RPO planning, multi-region architectures, backups, and failover design. The manager leads architectural governance through design reviews, technology assessments, and reference architecture development while partnering with engineering, product, security, and business stakeholders to align strategic roadmaps. Additional responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies such as AI/ML services, edge computing, and low-code platforms; supporting DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, Terraform, Ansible, GitOps workflows, and security-by-design principles including zero-trust architecture. Exposure to data architecture, data lakes, real-time streaming, data mesh, ArchiMate, Sparx Enterprise Architect, agile environments, and digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
