The Director, Institutional Trade Execution is responsible for executing institutional client orders in accordance with client instructions while working closely with Sales Traders to achieve best execution across financial markets. The role manages order distribution within the trading team, coordinates execution activities, and ensures efficient, accurate, and timely trade reporting. Operating within the Institutional Brokerage function, the position contributes to departmental financial objectives by delivering execution excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting business growth through superior trading capabilities and market intelligence.\n\nThe position operates within departmental financial targets established by the Head of Institutional Desk and contributes approximately 10–15% of departmental objectives through service excellence, efficient execution, and accurate execution reporting. The role requires close collaboration with Sales Traders to maximize execution quality while ensuring institutional clients receive competitive execution across available markets and liquidity sources.\n\nThe successful candidate executes institutional buy and sell orders on behalf of clients by accurately processing trading instructions received from Sales Traders, documenting all trading activities, monitoring execution quality, reporting completed transactions promptly, and managing order allocation across the execution team. The role also requires sourcing liquidity through external brokers and clients while maintaining a comprehensive database of available block securities to support institutional trading activities.\n\nThe Director actively supports business development by assisting the trading department in converting institutional client opportunities through the promotion of the firm's trading and execution capabilities, market intelligence, execution expertise, and value proposition across active regional and international financial markets. The position contributes to strengthening client relationships while expanding institutional trading activity through professional service delivery and execution excellence.\n\nA key responsibility includes ensuring full compliance with legal requirements, regulatory obligations, internal compliance policies, risk management procedures, and applicable market regulations. The role maintains efficient management of orders, execution of transactions, trade reporting, documentation standards, governance requirements, and prepares daily and weekly call reports for submission to the Head of Desk while maintaining operational transparency and regulatory compliance.\n\nThe position requires continuous enhancement of brokerage capabilities to support trading across regional and international markets. The successful candidate is expected to remain current with financial products, market developments, brokerage practices, regulatory pronouncements, and market intelligence while participating in mandatory regulatory programs, professional development courses, organizational online learning initiatives, and continuous knowledge enhancement activities.\n\nThe role requires maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, ethical trading practices, professional conduct, and client protection while safeguarding the interests of both institutional clients and the organization. Additional responsibilities include supporting special projects assigned by management, contributing to operational improvements, and maintaining exceptional service standards across institutional brokerage operations.\n\nCandidates should possess a graduate degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline together with a minimum of four years of relationship management experience, including at least three years within a brokerage firm, with Broker Dealer experience preferred. The role requires knowledge of ESCA regulations, UAE market regulations, financial markets, industry terminology, risk management practices, relationship management, analytical capabilities, communication skills, budget awareness, organizational effectiveness, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working with high-level internal and external clients.
