Engineer – MEP (Maintenance & Fit-Out)

The role involves inspecting building systems daily, identifying defects, and initiating corrective actions across the Amaala Yacht Club facilities. Responsibilities include executing daily checklists, raising CAFM work requests, monitoring PPM and CM progress, and ensuring contractor compliance with KPIs and safety regulations. The engineer performs thermal scanning of equipment and building envelope, detects potential failures in HVAC and mechanical systems, and coordinates with the Civil Engineer to address issues. Duties also include overseeing FM service provider work, conducting spot checks, issuing NCRs when quality is below standards, preparing for MOI and Civil Defense inspections, performing internal system health checks, compiling and uploading regulatory documentation, and attending inspections with AMC specialists. The role manages minor new works and additions by preparing project documentation, procuring required materials, and executing projects in a timely manner. Technical expertise is required in electrical and mechanical/HVAC systems including MCCs, DBs, SMDBs, transformers, fans, motors, starter panels, VFDs, UPS, power networks, AHUs, CRAC units, pumps, and grease traps. The engineer must be capable of designing and leading in-house renovation work involving conduits, cabling, switches, light fixtures, HVAC refurbishments and mechanical equipment replacements. The position requires strong safety knowledge, experience in maintenance and fit-out of high-quality buildings such as hospitals, hospitality properties, or corporate headquarters, and the ability to lead multi-trade teams while handling multiple tasks under pressure.
