The Technical Sales Manager – Well Services is responsible for leading the commercial growth, technical sales strategy, and market development of Weatherford's Well Services portfolio throughout the MENA region. The role is accountable for developing and executing the regional go-to-market strategy to maximize revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer engagement, and identify new business opportunities through effective technical and commercial leadership. Serving as the primary technical and commercial interface between customers, Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, Engineering, and Global teams, the position ensures the successful preparation, coordination, and delivery of technical proposals, quotations, tenders, commercial offers, contract negotiations, and integrated customer solutions. The role provides leadership to the regional Technical Sales and Applications team while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, profitability, and sustainable business growth. Key responsibilities include developing regional commercial strategies and go-to-market initiatives for the Well Services product portfolio, leading technical sales engagements through customer presentations, product demonstrations, technology workshops, technical seminars, and solution-based selling approaches, and building long-term strategic relationships with customers, key decision-makers, and stakeholders across the MENA region. The Technical Sales Manager leads the preparation, technical review, pricing strategy, and submission of quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals using approved Weatherford systems and processes while collaborating with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product Line Management, and Global teams to ensure effective project execution, seamless contract handover, and successful customer outcomes. The role continuously analyzes market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging market opportunities to develop competitive commercial strategies and strengthen regional market positioning. Responsibilities also include managing sales opportunities, opportunity pipelines, sales forecasts, customer visit reports (CVRs), pursuit plans, and business opportunities using Salesforce (SFDC), Xait-Porter, and other commercial systems. The position supports high-value tenders through Business Case Analysis (BSA), pricing recommendations, commercial strategy development, and risk assessment while monitoring business performance through budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, profitability improvement, pricing optimization, and cost management initiatives. Additional responsibilities include conducting customer service quality reviews, contract performance evaluations, contract close-out meetings, promoting customer satisfaction, introducing new technologies, supporting product launches, sharing customer success stories, implementing best practices, and driving continuous business improvement across the Well Services organization. The role leads, coaches, mentors, and develops the regional Technical Sales and Applications team to ensure technical competency development, commercial excellence, and high performance while ensuring full compliance with Weatherford HSE, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, and Corporate Governance standards and fostering a strong safety culture across all operations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline together with 10–12+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience, including at least six years in Technical Sales, Business Development, or Commercial Leadership within the Well Services product line. Previous experience supporting or managing Well Services technologies, customer accounts, tenders, and commercial strategies across the MENA region, leading technical sales teams, managing regional business growth, tendering, contract management, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, financial performance, business forecasting, regional sales KPIs, and working within multinational Oil & Gas service companies is highly preferred. The role requires extensive travel throughout the MENA region to support customers, regional business development, and commercial growth initiatives.
