Consultant, Managed Defense role with Google (Mandiant) in the United Arab Emirates, remote eligible with remote location specified as United Arab Emirates, within Mandiant Threat Defense. Minimum qualifications include bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience), 3 years experience in information security, SOC, incident response or similar cyber experience, 2 years experience in technical delivery, service delivery, client management or managed services, experience with critical incident response tools spanning computer forensics, malware analysis, network or host-based intrusion detection, proactive services, remediation and vulnerability testing, experience with enterprise detection technologies and processes including Advanced Threat Detection tools, IDS/IPS, Network Packet Analysis, Endpoint Protection, Identity Security and Cloud Security, plus experience with network/security protocols and operating systems including Unix and Linux. Preferred qualifications include navigating current information security issues and solutions, collecting/analyzing/escalating security events, responding to computer security incidents or collecting/analyzing/disseminating cyber threat intelligence, evaluating customer needs and coordinating solution design with ability to clearly communicate solutions, and delivering succinct fact-based communications to stakeholders. As a Mandiant Threat Defense Technical Consultant, serves as thought leader, owns service delivery of detection and response against attackers for multiple customers, acts as dedicated point of contact through customer onboarding and service delivery, sets expectations around service delivery, and contributes to a team providing tactical remediation efforts, targeted recommendations, quality service and community protection, acting as trusted advisor to fit the right combination of technology, intelligence and expertise to customer needs. Mission includes providing security expertise and strategic advisory for Google SecOps and other security solutions, building partnerships, understanding client needs and exceeding expectations through technical excellence, proactive security and integrity. Responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships focused on security and understanding needs/issues, delivering technical briefings on security trends including threat intelligence and malware analysis, addressing intricate technical issues with ambiguous requirements by developing innovative solutions, taking ownership of projects and tasks independently with minimal supervision, and partnering with teams and stakeholders across departments to achieve shared goals.
