Senior Manager, Platform SRE Engineering

The Senior Manager, Platform SRE Engineering (Saudi National) will join a leading financial services organization to lead the development, operation, and continuous evolution of scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise technology platforms. This senior leadership position is responsible for defining and executing the organization's Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy while ensuring critical technology platforms consistently achieve availability, reliability, scalability, security, performance, resilience, and recovery objectives that support business growth and faster product delivery. The role provides strategic leadership across cloud infrastructure, platform services, engineering operations, resilience engineering, disaster recovery, business continuity, platform security, regulatory compliance, and engineering automation while establishing engineering standards and best practices throughout the technology organization. Key responsibilities include defining platform engineering roadmaps, leading cloud engineering initiatives across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), embedding Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, establishing and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), driving high availability architectures, disaster recovery (DR) planning, business continuity initiatives, incident management processes, root cause analysis, production support, continuous improvement, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipeline implementation, DevOps transformation, cloud optimization, distributed systems architecture, networking, platform security, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and engineering team leadership. The role partners closely with engineering, product, and security teams to improve platform adoption, operational excellence, engineering efficiency, and continuous platform enhancement while developing high-performing engineering teams and fostering a culture of reliability, automation, and operational excellence. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Engineering, including at least five years of leadership experience managing engineering teams. Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, together with practical experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), resilience engineering, disaster recovery strategies, incident management, production support, security principles, networking, distributed systems architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD automation, is essential.
